How SHARE Italy uses cookies and similar technologies on this website.
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on the device of the person visiting it (computer, tablet or smartphone). They help the site work, remember certain choices and understand how it is used.
There are session cookies, which disappear when the browser is closed, and persistent cookies, which stay on the device for a set period. In this policy, “cookies” also covers similar technologies, such as the browser’s local storage.
On the SHARE Italy website we use two categories of cookies:
These cookies allow browsing and the correct operation of the site. They include storing the choice you make in the cookie banner. They cannot be switched off from the site, but you can block them in your browser; in that case some features may not be available.
To analyse traffic we use Google Analytics, a Google service. It collects information in aggregate form, such as the number of visits, the most viewed pages and the country or region from which the site is accessed; the IP address is anonymised. The cookies set (_ga and _ga_*) last up to two years. The data is not used for advertising purposes. The service is only activated if you choose “Accept all”: with “Reject all” or “Accept necessary only” it is not loaded and the related cookies are deleted.
We use cookies on the pages of the SHARE Italy website, in Italian and in English. Links to external sites (for example SHARE-ERIC, YouTube or the pages of research partners) lead to services managed by third parties, which have their own cookie policies: we invite you to read them when you visit those sites.
You can change your choice at any time using the “Cookie preferences” link at the bottom of every page, which reopens the cookie banner.
You can also manage or delete cookies from your browser settings. Instructions vary by browser: see the help section of the one you use.
